Renée Bruno, OTD, is a movement practitioner of yoga and pilates mat with a passion for helping people move, heal and reconnect with their bodies. After Renée was critically disabled in a fatal car accident alongside the loss of her father; she learned new ways to inhabit her body and mind through an extensive rehabilitation process. This has led to Renee’s commitment and desire to help others transform and overcome mental and physical health challenges.

She earned her doctorate in occupational therapy from Creighton University, where her research centered on women’s health—particularly breast oncology rehabilitation. Her academic background also includes a BA in psychology from Arizona State University and a MA in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She continues to pursue a lifelong education in yoga therapy, trauma-focused yoga, neuromuscular retraining and applied anatomy.

Guided by the belief that “the slow way is the fast way,” Renée offers an accessible, breath-centered practice that builds strong foundations while honoring the whole person. A humble bow to her teachers who have guided the way, Senior Ashtanga and Iyengar teachers Josh Vincent and Gabriel Halpern and Master Pilates instructors Ashley Beldon and Jean Sullivan.
